2 projects...........

today,i can scarcely believe i have had time to do these & a tutorial....lol.

What a beautiful day today was,i took the patients walking, then went walking when i finished work & managed to take the dogs walking at 6 O'clock,i feel like the duracell bunny...lmao.

My first project was my card but the background i used is from the technique in my second project.

I love this tilda image & just didn't know what to do with it so decided to try my hand today & i am rather pleased with the results.

The paper is from Basic Greys sultry selection,i got a gift of it from Lynda & i love it,i think it matched the background perfectly.

The ribbon is from Stampin Up,the button is from a Making Memories Blossom & Button Jar also a gift from Lynda & it is a fantastic selection

I added some wool to the bow to make it pop a little more....

I raised tte stamped image to give the card some depth.....

These are the colour Prismas I used ...........

The ink i used for the edges.....

Inks for stamping

My second project is this......It actually looks like a faux leather & i love love love the effect....I have added a tut to the end if you would like to try it,so so simple yet very very effective...

All you need is some chipboard, candle, paint & tissue paper........

Run the chipboard through your cuttlebug using which ever folder you like

Take a candle & rub over the surface, try not to be too heavyhanded.....

Get your paint,i used acrylic paint, then cover the whole card....

Then get some tissue & wipe the surface, the ink will rub off the candle wax on the raised surface ,then you will have the fantastic old, vintage, faux leather look....

To make the frame i just cut an inch in on each side of the square, then i cut out the centre,i added the centre piece to the back with some brads to form the stand ( i used chipboard for the back also)

Glue your pick to the back of the cutout area ( i glued it because i won't be changing the pic)

Glue the backing chipboard & press it firmly onto your frame ......

Ink all the edges of your frame to match the colour you used like so.....

Voilla your picture frame to embelish as desired ......
